9 Restaurants In Kansas Where You'll Find Mouthwatering Pancakes
Don’t flip out, Pancake Day might be over—but there’s still plenty of fluffy goodness to be had, here. We’ve been craving breakfast foods and the consequence of that is a list of fantastic flapjacks you can only get in Kansas. That means no IHOP and no Village Inn. I do wonder if your favorites will make the list?


Pancakes are always a blast, but when you're in Wichita, it seems like all there is for breakfast is chain restaurants. Their food might be good, but they're never special, you know? The Beacon serves up homemade breakfast like you've always wanted.

CJ's does simple pancakes well, and the phrase "dollar cakes" sounds fantastic to me.


Doo-Dah was voted best breakfast for 2015 and '16, which is enough to get me to try their flapjacks, that's for sure. The result? Fantastic! All of their menu items looked delicious but their cakes are heavenly fluff.


Smoke and a pancake? Cigar and a waffle? Jokes aside, these look perfectly golden, as per the name, and strawberries are my favorite topping so the photo here's a plus for me as well.

Red velvet? Red velvet! Places everywhere do this around February, but these are best sellers here for a reason! Maybe Topeka isn't that far away after all...


They're not horsin' around when they say there's good eats to be had here. Deliciously golden cakes, and a simple breakfast. What else would you really want? Flapjacks are flapjacks!

Something about a thinner batter leads me to believe these are homemade cakes that could use a good pond of syrup, just the way I like 'em. How about you?

Okay, these might not look like classic cakes, and that's because they're Dutch! Dutch pancakes are a little more like fry bread, and the ones in the back of the picture are Apple Dutch cakes. Even better, I say!
