As one of those states that seems to be littered with tiny towns and remnants of even smaller ones, there’s no wonder some of them get overlooked. Why not travel and give some of your business to small town folk with small town businesses? Surely they’re just as good as your local chain-restaurants (or much better) and surely they’re worth the drive. Here’s what you’re missing:
Let me introduce you to the tiny town of Louisville, Kansas. They've got around 200 people living here, with the average age being 27. That's pretty young!
What a quaint little town this is, populated mostly with homes and it's not too far from Manhattan and Wamego. That's probably where most residents here go to shop and eat. Louisville does have a thrift store though.
...to what used to be one of the largest trees in the U.S. It's estimated at around 300 years old, and after Dutch Elm disease, lightning, and vandalism, it's since been protected in the state it appears today.
