Larry and Barbara Richardson had been fascinated by the Golden Gate bridge for years and had always wanted to see it up close. Well, it turns out that building one in their backyard is the next best thing.

They used materials adding up to 97.5 tons of hand-mixed concrete, cables from Boeing's salvage, and a whole lot of work. Afterwards, however, the media took notice and wanted to know the story behind this amazing bridge.

They were interviewed by quite a few publishers and news channels, and eventually attained their dream of seeing the real bridge in person.
