As the weather gets warmer, plenty of Kansans are yearning for the warmth of a campfire and lakeside tents or campers to spend a weekend or more in. However, there are campsites all over the place, but which one do you pick? We think we’ve found one of the best options in Kansas, but you’ll have to check it out for yourself. For many Kansans, it’s impossible not to love this lakeside campground with all the best views.
Welcome to the beautiful Milford Lake, where you can spend as long as you like just enjoying Kansas for what it is - a beautiful place.

In addition to that, there's 19,000 acres of wildlife area that you'll find is filled with everything imaginable. Waterfowl, deer, foxes, eagles, and plenty more are hiding just under your nose, if only you'd look.
Catfish are my favorite, and there's nothing better than frying up a fresh catfish for dinner. However, you'll also find walleye, crappie, large mouth bass, white bass, and small mouth bass.
If you're not into camping but love the lakeside life, there's a handful of cabins on the lake you can rent out for the duration of your stay.
Cabins come with air conditioner, kitchens with dishwashers, televisions, and internet. Hey, sometimes you want to take your home office with you to the lake!
Of course, one of the best benefits is getting to watch the sun set across Kansas' largest lake every night you're here.
It should be on everyone's bucket list, as long as they love the outdoors.
You’ll find Milford Lake and all it’s beautiful views just north of Junction City. It’s the big lake, you can’t miss it! For more information about the lake and state park, check out their website here.
