The endlessly scenic Flint Hills area of Kansas is an all-time favorite for plenty of travelers, giving a welcome break from the wheat fields and flat lands you’ll find in most of the state. It’s practically a tradition to make the trip through it at least once during your time in Kansas. Whether it’s spring greens or field burning, it’s truly a magical place that occasionally sports quite a few Bison, not often seen in large numbers due to them almost going extinct in the 19th century.
Ad Astra, a restaurant named after the Kansas motto in Latin, "To the stars, through difficulties." They've been devoted to Kansas and it's location in Strong City is at the heart of Kansas' gorgeous Flint Hills.
Ad Astra serves a tasty breakfast menu, complete with my personal favorite, bananas foster french toast. I mean, what else could you possibly want? (Besides seconds, I mean.)
They really have meals for everyone, with options for vegan, gluten free, and those of us who are just "meat and potatoes" people. It's all delicious, too!
Come visit them (and this tenderloin!), and reserve your dinner table at 318 Cottonwood St Strong City, Kansas. Why not taste a piece of Kansas at the heart of its beautiful natural scenery? Traveling through the hills to your destination dinner is just a little ways away.
