Here Are The 9 Best Places In Kansas To Visit On Long Weekends
Finding something to do when you suddenly have extra weekend time might be as easy as dusting off your bucket list and picking somewhere to go. Or, if you’re planning to go on a trip soon, take an extra day to really explore your destination. Long weekends are always worthwhile, especially when you’re exploring Kansas’ best places.

Manhattan is a great place in Kansas that's half city and half college town. There's so many food options to try out while you're here, and a stay at their local bed and breakfasts will make everything perfect.

Atchison is a town that loves their haunted houses, and they'll have stories to go with each and every one. Of course, you can't stop by without trying Iron Horse, Mr. G's, or Jerry's Again. Might as well try them all!

Garden City is a bigger small town with more to do than you'd expect. Restaurants like Hanna's Corner are always a must for visitors, but you'll also enjoy looking around the Windsor Hotel, the Lee Richardson Zoo, and the county historical museum.

We all know what happened to Greensburg, but did you know how much they've come back? The Big Well looks beautiful on the inside, and has become a town history museum as well. Plus, Crazy Mule and Reggie's Pizza will keep you fed the whole time you're here.

Harper is a small town with plenty to see. The downtown area is full of restaurants, a park, and old buildings you just can't find everywhere anymore. Don't forget to stop by Red Rooster!

Oberlin is home to the amazing Frontier Restaurant as well as the Re-Load. The historic bank is by far my favorite to visit, however.

Parsons is a quaint community full of friendly people and amazing food. Shredders Smokehouse and the Hickory Hole are both restaurants that can't be missed on a trip to Parsons. Who knows, maybe you'll find a new favorite?

Liberal is another town home to a Wizard of Oz theme, this time with a yellow brick road and mini playground. Grab a bite at Bisteca or Dulce Mana and explore the town for a while.

Wilson is a smaller area of Kansas, with great restaurant but an even better view. Plus, who could pass up a giant painted egg? It's the Czech capitol of Kansas for a reason!
While you’re adding all these places to your bucket list this year, don’t forget about these places where you can still experience ‘old’ Kansas.
