The Small Town Balloon Festival in Kansas You Simply Can't Miss This Fall
Spending the day surrounded by balloons and festival activities is a day well spent in Kansas. We don’t get to see hot air balloons too often (blame the wind!) but we love our balloon festival when it comes around. We think this year, we should all come together in this small town for a balloon festival that we’ll never forget.

This hot air balloon festival is located in Columbus, Kansas and will be happening on October 5-7, 2018.

The 5th includes a scarecrow contest, art exhibit, quilt show, bean feed, and a glowing show from the hot air balloons.

Some of the best parts include the pancake feed, the hot air balloon race, a parade, a 5k race, and plenty of kid's activities. This year, they're even reburying a time capsule to be opened 50 years from now.

All the day's events lead up to a show of the balloons flying off into the sky, and disappearing into the blue. After liftoff, you can stick around and enjoy food, music, and souvenirs at the festival area,

Doesn't this sound like a day or two well spent? I can hardly wait to see which balloons are featured this year.
