Kansas hosts a ton of wonderfully fun festivals every year, but for the summer, the one thing all kids love is the sky. There’s one huge festival in a small town that you probably haven’t heard of that’s positively bursting with excitement for this balloon extravaganza. Wonder what it is?
This May 12-14, come down to Anthony Kansas for the flight of your life at the Sunflower Balloon Fest. It's the one all your kids will be begging to attend year after year.
Grab lunch from some of the local vendors at the fair, or check out Kristy's Kafe (and the baked potato pizza she makes!) and enjoy the show of events going on all weekend!
There's a parade on Saturday afternoon, with loads of attendees and plenty of candy-throwing. All three days have helicopter and balloon rides, as well as other inflatables and kids activities.
Of course, this is all "weather permitting" but then again, it's Kansas after all. What event isn't weather permitting these days? Come check us out, and fall in love with one small town's festival of the sky.
