The botanical gardens here in Wichita are a magical sight year-round, but even more so when the flowers are in full bloom and the trees are green with life. They've also got events running through the summer, if you're looking for something more interesting than greenery for the kids.
The Keeper is a great spot for morning walks and sunset visits, especially since they light the bonfire-sized torches around the keeper every night during the summer. Plus, it's got loads of information about local Native cultures.

Front Street and all of Boot Hill are super fun for the kids, especially if they love the old west. Dodge is home to a couple really tasty restaurants, as well as information for history lovers everywhere.
