The Boy Scouts of America decided that for their 40th anniversary (in 1950) they would place replicas of Lady Liberty around America. There are about 200 of them, and we’re lucky to get a few here in Kansas. Not only are there more than a handful, but there are 25 different miniature Statues of Liberty hiding around Kansas. How many have you seen on your travels around the state?
Right in front of the high school, Lady Liberty sits stoically.
Colby's Fike Park is home to a statue, but she's a little camera shy.

El Dorado proudly displays theirs in front of the Butler County Courthouse.

Garden City does the same, in front of Finney County Courthouse.
Garnett keeps theirs close by, at Courthouse Square, but close to the street where you can see it every day.
Glen Elder displays theirs in front of children at play.
North of Harlan, off of US 281, Lady Liberty stands with torch held high.

Hillsboro's Statue of Liberty is nestled in the trees at Hillsboro Memorial Park.
The Memorial Hall and Civic Center is where Independence proudly displays their piece of the liberty puzzle.
Kingman prefers to keep theirs close to school, yet displayed in an open area near the sidewalk.
La Crosse has an entire area dedicated to her, at the City Park.
