Have you ever spent a day at a Kansas State Park? There’s more than a few that are absolutely gorgeous, but one in particular happens to be beautiful year-round. No matter the season, you’ll have a great day surrounded by natural beauty at this park. Come check it out!
This gorgeous photo is from none other than Cedar Bluff State Park in Ellis, Kansas.
In total, there are 107 utility campsites, plenty of primitive campsites, and almost 850 acres of exploring to do. You could easily spend a couple weekends here and there through the year and still not see everything!
During the summer, the lake is perfect for swimming, as long as blue-green algae doesn't take over. The rocks are a stunning backdrop on some of the lake, and perfect for casual exploration.
In the fall, the trees around the lake brighten to red and yellow hues, making the brown grass fit right in. It's also a great season to see deer and other fall wildlife you might have missed in the spring and summer.
In the winter, if there's snow, you'll find that this park also looks stunning covered in a blanket of white. It might not be the best for camping, but it's beautiful for winter hikes and eagle watching.
