Jim's is a steak house that not only makes amazing steaks, but their onion straws are the perfect appetizer to fill up on before your meal.

Aunt Toadies sounds a little odd for a restaurant name, but even if there was a toad cooking the food here, it's still the best cooking I've had in ages. The friendly staff only makes the meal even better, in my eyes.

Much like the name, the food you order at this comfortable restaurant is also made from scratch. It brings the feelings of your childhood dinner table back, like you just received one of your favorite meals. Plus, who doesn't like an open faced beef sandwich?

The Butterfly Cafe was recently introduced to me, and I wasn't surprised to find another great restaurant hiding out in small town Kansas. Goodland is really a good land after all!

Joan's is a warm and friendly restaurant that reminds you of retro diners, except you will find that they're usually only open for breakfast and lunch. If you're on a trip near Stafford and need to stop for breakfast at 6 a.m., Joan's is the place to go.

L&T was recommended to me by our Only In Kansas Facebook comments, and boy does it taste just like they said. The fried chicken here is amazing, and worth a stop if you find yourself in town. Another point for Goodland!

Maury's is a versatile restaurant that serves everything from full meals to sandwiches, all from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. When you order here, you truly feel like you're learning about the town itself. What better way than to start with their food?

Now if your family didn't make chicken and noodles, I definitely think you're missing out. This restaurant is all about those family meals that Kansans loved to have as a kid, and you'll find that you're thinking of home with every bite.
