Old mills are beautiful buildings that we don’t often get to see in good shape. They used to churn the water and grind up grain every day, but now sit still and mostly unused. That is, unless you visit this old flour mill on a Sunday. This unique restaurant in a historic old Kansas flour mill is a stop you’ll want to make sometime.
Welcome to the Old Oxford Mill, an old flour mill hanging out in south central Kansas that we haven't heard about in a while. But not only is it a mill, it also has a secret.
This old mill was built in 1874, and you can see some of the machinery still standing in and around the building. Though it doesn't grind flour anymore, it still serves a unique purpose.
Dessert, my favorite part of the meal, often features in-season foods and plenty of flavor. Whether you love light strawberry cake or heavy apple crumble, you'll feel treated here at the Oxford Mill.
The Old Oxford Mill restaurant is only open on Sundays, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for their amazingly priced meals. Unless they have stated otherwise on their Facebook page, when they sometimes open for special occasions on Saturdays.
You’ll find the Old Oxford Mill at E 20th Ave N, Oxford, Kansas. Though they don’t require reservations, it’s recommended that you call them at (620) 455-3456. To see what is planned for meals, keep updated by following their Facebook page.
