Is it just me, or does Kansas have the most beautiful churches in the country?! I have traveled to many places in my life, but have yet to see another state with as many gorgeous sanctuaries at every turn. Here are 10 of those gorgeous Kansas churches that will leave you speechless:
1.) St. Joseph Catholic Church (Damar)
Built in 1912, the Romanesque Revival style church was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.
2.) Pratt Presbyterian Church (Pratt)
The historic church ,with its recognizable red clay roof and beautiful Gothic architecture, was founded in 1884 and dedicated in 1889.
3.) Topeka Church
I was unable to find the story behind this church, but thought it was still worth sharing because of its beautiful architecture and colors.
4.) Basilica of St. Fidelis (Victoria)
I might be a little biased, (my husband and I were married at St. Fidelis), but I happen to think that this Romanesque-style cathedral is one of the most beautiful cathedrals I have ever seen.
5.) United Methodist Church of the Resurrection (Leawood)
This beautiful church boasts the largest United Methodist congregation in the country, ranked #9 in the "Top 10 U.S. Churches to learn from that are influencing other churches," and #16 in the "Top 26 U.S. Churches to learn from in all areas" by Churchrelevance.com.
6.) St. George Orthodox Christian Cathedral (Wichita)
If your jaw didn't drop when you saw this incredible Orthodox Christian Cathedral, you need to get your eyes checked!
7.) White Church Christian Church (Kansas City)
The oldest church in the state of Kansas (still in use) is made of native stone and contains 21 stunning stained glass windows.
