This beautiful, quiet town is great for visiting in the daytime, but just outside of town, you’ll find that there’s a little more than meets the eyes. After dark, who knows what you’ll see at this Kansas cemetery. Do you dare to see for yourself?

Alma, Kansas, is a small town west of Topeka that has some amazing home town foods, and even better hospitality. This town with a population around 800 doesn't have a lot going on, unless you consider their local cemetery.
Visitors to this cemetery in the past have noted a fair amount of paranormal activity happening here. Of course, any cemetery is going to be a little creepy at night, but there's two main reasons that it's extra creepy here.
At night, photos have been taken here at the Alma cemetery, with orbs showing up in many of them, and even 'misty figures' in some. A few visitors within the last couple years have warned people against going near the tree line, because of a 'dark presence' that has followed them ever since. Whether you believe that to be possible, it's still pretty spooky.
Another legend involves a Devil's Chair. The story tells of a mean old farmer in the 1800s who owned the land, including a specific well on the property. He didn't want to sell the land to the town, so someone allegedly pushed him into it, causing his death. No one noticed he was gone, and the well was covered and the land taken after his disappearance. In the 1980s, according to the story, some teenagers decided to try and see his ghost near the well, and sat on top of it, only to disappear after the rest of the group looked away for only a moment. They thought it was a practical joke, but never saw their friend again. This is how most stories of Devils Chairs go, but it's probably not a great idea to go sitting on random old structures you're not sure of.
Of course, all of these ghostly figures and disappearing people leads to a pretty creepy story, so if you have been to this place before to investigate, let us know in the comments! If you think this is all nonsense, feel free to place your vote in the comments as well.
