If you’ve ever wondered about beautiful fall towns in Kansas, we’d love to introduce you to Hiawatha, the City of Beautiful Maples and home to the Oldest Halloween Parade in the country. There’s nothing like a beautiful fall day in a town like this. It’s truly stunning, just like a Hallmark movie!
Like the sign says, welcome to Hiawatha! This small town with about 3,000 residents is a big destination for fall, but not because of their famous oldest Halloween parade.
Established in 1857, Hiawatha has a long history with fall weather and related activities. Between the beautiful trees and the parade, what's stopping you from a visit to this amazing small town?
Every fall, Hiawatha is front and center for Hallmark beauty. Just look at those ruby red leaves! I could sit here all day and just watch them in the wind.
Like we mentioned earlier, Hiawatha is also the home of the oldest Halloween parade in America. It's been running every year since 1914. It's crazy to see vintage photos and costumes every year!
While you're here, also enjoy plenty of small businesses like the county historical society, the Davis Memorial, the local lake, and plenty of food and shopping to entertain you for the day. Why not make a trip of it?
