Have you ever been to a Hawaiian or tropical-themed restaurant that also served Hawaiian inspired food? There aren’t many in Kansas, but we’ve found one that’s both delicious and beautiful. Say aloha to this small Hawaiian themed restaurant serving big flavors. Whether you like dinner or dessert, you’ll be satisfied.
Welcome to Sharon's Place, a small restaurant hiding out in Derby that's serving up Hawaiian-inspired meals and decor.
At Sharon's, you can dine in house or take home meals like Kahlua pork, surf & turf, plenty of teriyaki, and combos that bring the best entrees together.
Like any restaurant, we always make sure there's room for dessert. This time we recommend their homemade Haupia, with or without chocolate sauce and coconut. Traditionally it is plain, but dressing it up is never a problem.
Next time you're in the area and want to try something new, check out Sharon's during lunch hours from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays through Saturdays, or during dinner hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays through Fridays. They are closed Sunday and Monday.
For more information, check out their website here.
Address: 141 E Kay Street Suite #400, Derby, KS 67037
Another great way to feel like you’re somewhere else is through books. We think this amazing restaurant with a mini library inside is perfect for blending both food and travel, even if only through the written word.
