Do you love German food as much as we do? If so, then you know we’ll eat at any new German spot across the state. You may have not heard of this German restaurant yet, but let this be your formal introduction. Kansas, meet Ironhaus. We hope they stick around for a long time!
Welcome to Ironhaus Bierhalle and Garten, a brand new restaurant in Leawood that popped up out of nowhere.
Once you enter, the bierhalle is filled with amazing smells from the kitchen and the sound of people who love to eat, drink, and be merry. Clinking glasses and happy customers is a sound we love to hear.
The whole left side of the menu is for authentic German cuisine, whether that be schnitzel or wurst. Their food is all handmade, and made with love and care in every bite. The food may seem to be simple, but the flavors are anything but.
They also serve Ger-merican eats like this Bronco Dog, a smoked bratwurst that pairs both styles of food perfectly. It and plenty of other options sit on the right side of the menu, where the fusion foods belong.
They have plenty of German themed decor to supplement the food, and they have live music on the weekends as well in their garden. We have also heard of the excitement of yard games on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, so bring your competitive edge!
Ironhaus is open from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 2 p.m. to midnight Thursdays and Fridays, 11 a.m. to midnight on Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
