Kansas summers are always hot, and that heat is sometimes unbearable when you want to spend time outside. Instead of letting the heat ruin your winery trip this summer, how about we cool things down with some wine slushies straight from the vineyard?
Welcome to the beautiful and lush Stone Pillar Vineyard & Winery hiding out in Olathe.
The first vines were planted here in 2007, and opened for sales just three years later, starting a great business in the Kansas City area. Ever since, they've been a local favorite for their wines and hospitality.
The wine made here varies from white to red, with plenty of pink in between. They make a few varieties, but their cider is a great option if you're not a big fan of wine all of the time.
The owners recommend you visit anytime during regular business hours, or check out their calendar for more exciting events like crafting, painting, yoga, and even concerts.
You can enjoy this winery from 3 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays, noon to 9 p.m. on Wednesday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays.
