This forested area of Kansas is known as Cross Timbers State Park, and the best part about staying here is you have the option of cozy cabins. What a treat! We can’t resist such a beautiful getaway in the heart of Kansas. Can you? Maybe a cabin stay is just what you need for a relaxing break from everything.
Welcome to Cross Timbers State Park. You may be familiar with this gorgeous area near Toronto Lake, but did you know they have an excellent place to stay?
There are three cabins in the park, each sleep eight people and include a bathroom with a shower. In addition to that, they also have a stove, fridge, microwave, coffee pot, and more. Use the campfire ring outside, and you've got an amazing getaway in the works.
Of course, there's only so much fun you can have at the cabin. It's a great place to stay, but we're really here for the nature. Hiking around these forested areas are a real treat, especially if you come from an area without many.
Nearing fall, the trees all light up with bright yellow, orange, and red hues that make this scenery stunning. Some would say it doesn't feel like Kansas at all!
