Much of the tallgrass prairie that once existed in America was plowed over for farming many years ago, but due to the rock content in the soil here, the land is not suitable for growing crops. It is perfect for grazing cattle, so you’ll find quite a few large cattle ranches out here. It’s an ideal place to get in touch with nature, get away from your worries, and appreciate the unique beauty of Kansas.
