If I scream, will you scream? You will? Then let’s put our voices together and scream for ICE CREAM. As you may be aware, the Sunflower State is full of delicious dairies and one-of-a-kind ice cream options, but this super fun shop in Galena is sure to bring a sense of childlike whimsy back into your life and make you feel like a kid again:
Welcome to Eye Scream Labs, the "Nitrogen Lab with an Ice Cream Problem" that creates their sweet treats with the help of liquid nitrogen.
The brain (err, eye...) child for this unique concept in frozen desserts is Galena's Endicott family (Dave, Rhonda, Lawson, Hunter, and Hayden) who were inspired to open the shop after years of making liquid nitrogen ice cream for family and friends.
A few of Eye Scream's current menu options include standards like Butter Pecan, Chocolate, and Strawberry; as well as more unique (and oh-so-tasty) flavors like Toasted Marshmallow Pumpkin, Bourbon Bread Pudding, and Blackberry Peach.
Did we mention that the current experimental flavors are that of Strawberry and Black Pepper, Biscuit and Jelly, and Pound Candy?
Want to experience this "cool" new concept in ice cream for yourself? Be sure to call ahead to check their demonstration schedule.
Do you have a loved one with a birthday coming up? Eye Scream also makes a fabulous ice cream cake... Just sayin'.
(Or, if you have no birthdays coming up but are pregnant like me and just want to eat the entire cake in one sitting, that's fine too.)
