Kansans will find a way to enjoy nature even if the weather doesn’t exactly agree with having a day out in the sun. For those days when you just want to connect with our beautiful natural landscape, this easy loop trail in Kansas is the perfect thing to pick.
Welcome to the always stunning Wilson Lake State Park, where you never expect just how beautiful it really is in person.
Dogs are allowed as long as they're on a leash, and the trail isn't too long, so most kids won't have an issue traversing it. As long as everyone's got their hiking shoes on, you're bound to have a great time.
If you are done with the trail and happen to have brought your kayak, we definitely recommend seeing the rocks from the perspective of the water. The beauty is worth the dip!
The park is open from sunup to sundown, and is hard to travel when conditions are icy. In the summer, the heat is pretty severe as well, so make sure to plan appropriately for whatever the weather may be.
