Are you hungry for a great new restaurant or something that just feels more fresh? Between an amazing menu full of garden fresh items and their stocked bar, eating out on a covered patio has never been this amazing. Dining outdoors is a fun experience anyone can enjoy, and we think this spot belongs right on your Kansas bucket list with the rest.
Welcome to Bon Bon, a restaurant hiding out in Lawrence that's full of cocktails, good food, and views of the sky.
One main draw about this little cafe is the covered patio. What used to be a glass area and the side of a food truck has recently been transformed into an all-glass attachment to the cafe where you can enjoy your meal under the beautiful Kansas sky.
The cafe menu changes periodically with the seasons, but for the most part, the food is inspired by local favorites as well as Tex-mex, Asian, and European dishes. Even though the food looks fancy, don't worry about dressing super special to eat here. Everyone is welcome!
Much like many other Kansas restaurants, sandwiches are a must for the menu. Whether you opt for something like fried chicken or a pork cutlet, your tastebuds are in for a treat. They also carry vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, and dairy free options for many of their items.
Additionally, they also have a weekend brunch menu to rival any breakfast you'd find around town. The benefit of eating it here is the beautiful view and fresh air to go along with a morning cocktail and your meal. Brunch is served on Saturday until 3 p.m. and all day Sunday.
Bon Bon is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to midnight on Fridays, 9 a.m. to midnight on Saturdays, and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays.
If you love amazing restaurants with slightly different food than you’re used to, then you should check out this beautiful restaurant with plenty of greenery and a mini library to boot.
