When you’re shopping for a new Christmas tree, there’s always the option of getting a living tree from a local farm instead of a plastic one. Real trees are just a bit more magic, as long as you’ve got the space for them. There’s nothing that smells more like Christmas than the perfect one from the Country Christmas Tree farm in Kansas.
Welcome to Wakarusa, Kansas' Country Christmas Trees, a tree farm that have been working hard for decades to keep the Christmas tree picking tradition alive. They sell Scotch Pine, Frasier Fir, and Blue Spruce.
You might even meet some fluffy faces on your visit to this tree farm, but that only adds to the magic. Who wouldn't want a trip to pick out a Christmas tree where they can also see alpacas?
In addition to the giant wreaths that would fit a barn, they have wreaths and windows in more manageable sizes, decorated in many colors and styles. These could be the perfect things your holiday decorations have been missing.
In 2019, Country Christmas Trees is open starting Sunday, November 24th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.. Though they are closed Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving, regular hours in December will be 9 to 5 every Saturday and Sunday until they're out of trees.
