Kansas doesn’t often make lists, but when they are looking for something in every state, we always want to see what people might think is our best feature. According to HouseBeautiful magazine, our very own Baker Wetlands is the most beautiful place in the whole state. Though we’re not sure if we can choose just one, we definitely agree with what they chose. This spot was named the most beautiful place in Kansas, and we’re all about it. Let’s see for ourselves why it’s so easy to fall in love with this wetlands area!
Welcome to what may be the state's most beautiful spot, the Baker University Wetlands.
All those plants don't just come in the form of grasses, either. If you look closely, wildflowers, aquatic species, and all sorts of new things you've never seen before.
The attached Discovery Center is perfect for anyone who wants to get a good look from indoors or who would like to learn more from an educational view.
Learning about the wetlands around you and then exploring them is a unique way to really appreciate the area. Oh, I wish we had centers near every Kansas natural wildlife area! This one's truly gorgeous.
