We get a bad reputation as a flat, boring state that doesn’t have much worth traveling to see. But anyone who’s been to Kansas knows that couldn’t be further from the truth. From our wonderful stores and restaurants to our charming small towns and our natural wonders, there is a lot to see and do in the Sunflower State! One of our favorite summer destinations in Kansas is tucked away in the little town of Cottonwood Falls. Here, you’ll find Chase State Fishing Lake, a popular spot for fishermen to cast their lines. Hidden in the woods is a beautiful waterfall that goes by a couple of different names: you may hear it referred to as Chase Lake Falls or Prather Creek Falls. No matter what name you choose to call it, it’s a lovely spot and the perfect place to cool off on a hot summer day!
