Sugar skulls and friendly skeletons are something you don’t expect to see at a breakfast spot, but we welcome anyone to enjoy breakfast, brunch, or lunch, a drink and a good laugh at this place for friends. After all, who wants bright lights before they’ve had their coffee?

Welcome to Wake The Dead Breakfast Bar, a spot in Lawrence that's a little more morbid than we're used to. However, despite all the morbid imagery, the service and food are both quite lively.

Dining at this slightly darker breakfast spot is great for those mornings where bright lights aren't your friend, and a cup of coffee is first on your list before anything else. They've been open since 2017, and we hope to get many more years out of this morbid munch-house.
