It doesn’t get much better than a delicious taco, does it? Whether you choose hard or soft shell; beef, chicken, or fish, you are pretty much guaranteed the greatest meal of your life. Fortunately for us Kansans, the Sunflower State is full of restaurants that serve yummy tacos, including:
1. Bonito Michoacan (Kansas City)
For the best tacos on the *right* side of KC, Bonito Michoacan (with their street tacos comprised of homemade tortillas and salsa, fresh meats and veggies) is THE place to be.
2. Tacos Jalisco (Dodge City)
There is no shortage of good places to eat once you "Get the Heck Into Dodge"... but if you are craving a delicious taco, there is only one Tacos Jalisco.
3. El Charro (Pittsburg)
When you think of tacos, which meat first comes to mind? Most would say ground beef, but for me it is shrimp, which El Charro does better than anyone else.
4. Jaliscos (Hays)
Oh, Jaliscos... when I attended college in Hays, I used to eat here literally once a week just to partake in their giant margaritas and tasty fish taco special (pictured.)
5. Las Canteras (Norton)
Alright, northern Kansas; if you are craving a delicious soft taco with creamy guacamole, you best be hightailing it to Norton for this Las Canteras specialty!
6. Lopez De Mexico (Atchison)
Are you ready to have your mind BLOWN? This beauty is called a Loco Taco and consists of a hard-shell taco coated in nacho cheese sauce and then wrapped in a homemade tortilla. I will be there soon, Atchison!
7. Mr. Taco (Wichita)
Let's just say that when you have a 4.5+ star rating on Facebook, Yelp, and Google, your food has to be pretty legit (...and in this case, it most certainly is.)
8. Toto's Tacoz (Wamego)
Toto's is kitschy, fun, and serves some pretty yummy tacos and sides. (Word to the wise: The food tastes even better after exploring the colorful Oz Museum... just saying!)
9. Playa Azul (Great Bend)
To help whet your appetite, here is a look at a few of Playa Azul's famous tacos. Which will you choose?
10. Las Margaritas (Garden City)
Large plates of filling food at affordable prices... it doesn't get much better than Las Margaritas! (And for the record, the only way to eat an enchilada is with a side of beans, rice, and hard-shell taco.)
11. La Fiesta (Abilene)
No wonder Ike liked Abilene... it's home to the famous La Fiesta, which is home to this incredible Taco Carne Asada with mouthwatering and tender steak.
