Many Kansans have had the pleasure of biting into a delicious bierock. The bierocks at this restaurant are large and packed with fillings, but they are so good, you’ll have a hard tie stopping at just one. You can purchase a dozen homemade bierocks and bring them home with you — actually, you better make that two dozen.
The Breadbasket in Newton definitely deserves a visit on this road trip. This casual restaurant and bakery is a bit unique as they serve a German buffet with all of the best German food around — including bierocks. You’ll enjoy a home-cooked meal with all of the classic, favorite German dishes.
On the outside, M&M Bierock may not look like much but after just one taste of their bierocks, your tastebuds will thank you for making the stop on this bierock road trip. You won’t find a wide selection of bierocks at this restaurant in Wichita, rather they stick to the basics. Their menu consists of a traditional bierock, bierocks with cheese, and ham and cheese bierocks. You can purchase individual sides for your bierock or make it a meal complete with chips and a pickle.
Want Bierock Company and Coffee House boasts a fun and lively atmosphere and you’ll be impressed the minute you walk through the door. At this coffee house, try the traditional bierock stuffed with meat, cheese, cabbage, and various spices that with make your tastebuds dance. If you are looking for something a little unique, try the breakfast bierock, complete with sausage, cheese, and homemade hashbrowns. Plus, you can pair your favorite bierock with a specialty drink, cup of coffee, or even a smoothie.
No matter if you are looking for a traditional or egg bierock, this may become your favorite stop on our road trip. Friendship House in Wamego serves a variety of egg bierocks and each will make your mouth water. From bacon, egg, and cheese bierocks to three meat options, there is something for everyone. Plus, while you’re here, make sure you try some of the other yummy goodies such as cookies or a gourmet burger.
Jayhawk Corner Cafe is a hidden gem in Topeka. While you will love the classic, stunning interior of this restaurant, the food is even better. The bierocks are a popular item on the menu and vary in fillings. You may find traditional bierocks to mouthwatering breakfast options. However, the bierocks may not be available every day as some items on the menu may rotate. You will want to call ahead to make sure you can try one of these pastry pocket sandwiches during your visit.
