Spending most of our time in Kansas seeing as far as the eye can see, we’ve always got our eye out for familiar scenery. Kansans recognize these things on the spot, and many more. Which of these things do you nod to in your mind whenever you come across them? If you’ve crossed all of these off, we are sure there are plenty more.
The whooshing noise we could pick out anywhere, and the best thing to fall asleep to if you ever get the chance.
Whether you pay attention to when they burn the Flint Hills or not, you can always tell when they're burning just by how the sun looks. The light comes through the smoke and gives everything a slightly red, dark hue that can't be mistaken after you've seen it.

Though it is Kansas's state song, there is something just so connecting between this song and our state. Almost like it was meant for us.
