In Lucas, you'll find yourself surrounded by folk art and things to see. However, two locations I recommend visiting are the Grassroots Art Center and Bowl Plaza. Bowl Plaza is a toilet-shaped public bathroom, and the art center is a paradise of more art in the same style.

The late M. T. Liggett filled this stretch of road with plenty of political figures in various poses and sometimes even with captions or labels. It's a curious sight for sure, if you've never seen it before.

First labeled in the 50s, these water towers are something cool to look at or photograph if you're headed through town.

Big Brutus is a silent giant shovel surrounded by nothing but Kansas. You can see it on the horizon as you approach, and it's truly amazing to see what was once the largest shovel around.
