Speck’s Bar and Grill was established in 1957 by Franklin Speck Benge. He decided to leave the concrete business and work at a tavern. He soon fell in love with his new employment as it gave him more time for fishing. Over the years, his tavern became a hangout for fishermen and other outdoorsmen.

After Speck’s death in 1988, his daughter purchased the bar and opened a kitchen. This is when the insane and outrageously delicious 3-pound burger was born.
The Speck Burger is a three-pound hamburger on a 14-inch bun. It comes with a huge plate of homemade French fries. Your eyes will certainly grow large when it is delivered to your table.
