Iowans can find the best buffet in the state at Triple Crown Buffet in Altoona! If you’ve never been, you’ve got to set aside some time to visit for their Prime Rib Dinner.
Prairie Meadows in Altoona is a racetrack, hotel and casino that attracts visitors from all over the Midwest.
Stop by for breakfast or brunch before hitting the casino floor, or refuel with lunch before the races start! Dinners here are often themed, and they're pretty special, too.
Breakfast Buffet runs Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Typically, it costs $8.95 per person, but on Tuesdays, you'll pay $9.95. Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at a cost of $13.95 each. Lunch runs Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and costs $9.95. Club 55 members can expect a $2 discount during Tuesday breakfast or lunch service.
Dinner nights are themed! Sunday is Prime Rib night and costs $17.95. Monday's theme is Breakfast for Dinner, and you can feast for $13.95. Tuesday offers a $10 Specialty Buffet for Praire Gold Rewards members, but the public can dine at full price. You could also sign up for the reward program prior to dining, as long as you are 21 or older and able to shopw a valid photo ID. Wednesday serves up something truly special - a smoked prime rib buffet for $17.95! Thursday is BBQ night. Get ready to feast on fall-off-the-bone ribs for $16.95. Friday is a little fishy - enjoy seafood and prime rib for just $17.95. Saturday's Prime Rib buffet is extra special, and costs just $18.95. All dinner buffets run from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
