If you have a giant appetite, get the Spartan burrito. It’s famously huge. The service is excellent, and so is the beverage selection. This eatery is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday’s hours are 11 a.m. until 10 p.m.
2. Big Grove Brewpub

Here you will find fantastic service, a unique menu, locally sourced ingredients, and made-from-scratch food that wows guests every time.
Happy hour is 4 - 6 p.m. and it’s a great time to try their creative cocktails. The menu is updated according to what’s in season, so you’ll always find the freshest food here. They are open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday they are open 11 a.m. until 10 p.m.
3. Salt Fork Kitchen
112 E Main St., Solon
All the food here is sourced from local farms. It’s all made fresh, and coffee lovers say you won’t find a better cup o’ Joe in the area.
If you are here for breakfast, the buttermilk flapjacks are a superb choice. They are open Wednesday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. They also close for a few hours between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
4. El Sol Mexican Cuisine
240 E Main St., Solon
This small but mighty Mexican restaurant has a menu full of traditional Mexican food.
You’ll love the fresh ingredients, lovely service, and huge portion sizes. They are often busy, so plan to wait a bit if you go during normal dinner hours.
Try the cilantro-laced guacamole, pork tamale with mole sauce, or the chicken tostada for a flavorful treat.
El Sol is open between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Friday and Saturday’s hours are 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Sunday they are open 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.
5. Red Vespa

This place is worth a trip off the beaten path. You’ll enjoy the authentic-style Neapolitan personal-sized pizza.
Be sure to try the antipasto. Be aware that this small place gets very busy. You may have to wait for your food. This isn’t your typical pizza joint. The bee sting, Margherita, and sweet corn pizza are amazing. They are open between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
