This Iowa Park Represents The State Perfectly
The DNR (Department of Natural Resources) calls Iowa, “a treasure chest of natural resources.” It’s true. No matter where in the state you happen to be, there’s probably a state park close by that represents our state perfectly. This particular Iowa state park covers a huge amount of land, is located just west and north of the state’s center, has a large lake perfect for fishing, over 45 miles of trails, and a lovely sandy beach.

It's in Webster County and it covers over 6,000 acres of land.

A number of creeks feed into the river, which makes hiking more of a challenge. These trails are rated as moderate by experienced hikers.
