As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
This isn’t your typical hotel. There are 42 rooms at the Designer Inn and Suites, but seven of them are very special. Hand sculpted walls, incredible architectural details, and a different theme in each of the seven specially designed rooms here make this otherwise “normal” looking hotel in central Iowa a destination for people who want overnight accommodations that are out of the ordinary.
The designer is also the hotel owner. This hotel has many rooms, so if you want a fantasy suite, you'll need to be specific about which one you want when you make reservations. When you stay here, you'll also have access to the hotel's heated indoor pool, cable TV with HBO, high-speed wireless Internet access, and a complimentary breakfast that includes waffles, if you want them.

The fantasy suites are spacious, and have whirlpool tubs for an extra dose of decadence.
The penguin will hang on to your stuff while you go for a swim. The designer didn't leave any part of these seven rooms untouched. The attention to detail is amazing.
