It's in southwest Iowa, about an hour's drive west of Des Moines on Interstate 80.

There's a youth group site, 52 standard electric sites, 68 standard non-electric sites, and 40 standard full hook-up sites. If you want to reserve a spot, it's a good idea to do so two days in advance of your planned camping trip. Some sites are available only on a first come first served basis, as well.

It's a no-wake lake that's well-known for fishing. It's stocked with crappies, bluegill, and largemouth bass. Concrete ramps make boat access easy.
