The best way to discover Iowa’s beautiful outdoors is by going camping. You’ll enjoy fresh air, pretty scenery, and might even spot some wildlife. Here’s a gorgeous campground that’s right on the banks of a pretty stream, and there’s really no other campsite in the state quite like it.
You'll find Pulpit Rock Campground in the little town of Decorah in the northeast corner of the state. The address of the campground is 505 Pulpit Rock Rd., Decorah, IA 52101.
RVs are welcome too! There are 56 back-in sites and 19 pull-through sites to choose from. Each includes electrical hookups, and the campground also offers a dumpsite and water station. RV sites start at $30/night.
Pulpit Rock Campground is nice and shady, with plenty of trees to keep you cool. Amenities include restrooms with showers, a playground, basketball court, and you'll find ice and firewood for purchase. If you're looking to enjoy nature, but you don't want to completely disconnect, you can even get WIFI here.
The stream really adds to the natural beauty of this place, and it's the perfect spot to cast a line and while away the afternoon. You can also go for a dip in the nice, cool water.
For more information, or to book a campsite, visit the Pulpit Rock Campground’s website. Have you ever camped at Pulpit Rock Campground? We’d love to hear about your trip!
