The 14th annual Up in Smoke BBQ Bash is scheduled for July 21st and 22nd in Mason City’s East Park. If the sweet smell of smoked meat is your idea of heaven, you won’t want to miss this epic outdoor food fest in Iowa.

Admission to this event is free. Thousands of people enjoy two days of the best BBQ in the Midwest each summer here in Mason City.
Enjoy musical entertainment, a bag tournament, inflatables for the kids, and a beverage tasting.

Smithfield in Mason City has awarded the Up in Smoke BBQ Bash a grant to enlarge the prize purse for the competition's winners. The "Smokin' with Smithfield" grant will be applied to the top 20% of the winners.
The 2016 competition winners were new to the Up in Smoke BBQ Bash.

Porky Butt's BBQ won grand champion and Smoky D's won reserve champion.
This year's entertainment line-up will be epic, as well.
