The Hawkeye State has a reputation for being flat farmland, but those of us who get out and explore it can tell you that’s the farthest thing from the truth! While our rolling rural fields are certainly part of the landscape, riverfront treks like the Ledges State Park trail to Lost Lake show off a part of the Hawkeye State that many don’t see.
You can find a map of this gorgeous Iowa trail right here. When you head out on your trip, don’t forget to bring bug spray, as this riverfront path can be a little buggy around dusk and dawn.
