Iowans who live out in the country are no strangers to charming shops and old fashioned farmstands. In fact, if you head out to the middle of Hawkeye State farm country, you’ll find a produce stand on every other corner! When you find yourself wanting to track down an Iowa country store, head out to Monticello and visit Savor the Barn.
When Jerry and Lisa Hunt decided to open up a farmstand store, they chose a location adjacent to their family-run working farm.
The produce is all from Jerry and Lisa's farm, and their pork is famous with locals. They run out of their sweet corn all the time, so get there early if you're looking for a few ears! You'll also find a variety of locally sourced gourmet foods here.
Along with home-grown produce, Savor the Barn stocks a variety of trinkets and items for home decor. You're sure to find something here that's perfect for your porch, kitchen, or family room.
Have you visited this Iowa country store yet? If not, what are you waiting for? Make the drive out to Monticello to see for yourself why everyone falls in love with Savor the Barn.
