Missouri has many gorgeous state parks but there are some that really dazzle in the fall. Roaring River State Park is one of Missouri’s most beautiful parks once the leaves begin to change colors. With warm days still ahead, early fall is one of the best times to go for a hike in Missouri. Enjoy the many trails at Roaring River State Park but be sure to take Devil’s Kitchen Trail up to an above ground cave for a surreal experience.
Roaring River State Park is a beautiful park popular among anglers.
The Devil's Kitchen Trail received its name from the unique rock formations. The formations used to create a room but that formation has since caved in.
You'll love the stunning views as your walk along the forested path. If you plan your visit soon you can experience the hike surrounded by the vibrant fall colors on full display.
Along the trial you'll find a stunning little cave to explore. This little above ground cave was once a hideout for outlaws and guerrilla soldiers during the civil war.
