There are thousands of farms in Iowa, and each one is home to something special, whether that be a favorite family heirloom, antique tractors and equipment, historic lands, or kangaroos. Wait – what? Turns out there is a kangaroo farm in Iowa, and it’s part of an amazing family-owned dairy farm that’s open for tours!
Hansen's Dairy is a family-owned farm out in Hudson, Iowa, that has been operating since 1864.
Larry, Scooter, Rocket, Pogo and the rest of the herd can't wait to meet you. Blake Hansen loved Kangaroos so much that he built this habitat for them, and imported them to share with all of Iowa!
As if hanging out with Kangaroos wasn't cool enough, you'll end your tour by making your own butter, sampling ice cream and snacking on super fresh cheese curds.
Hansen’s Dairy is located at 8617 Lincoln Rd., Hudson, Iowa. The inclusive Hands On Tours cost just $12 per person, but they have to be scheduled in advance. Visit their website here to book your tour.
