When the Civilian Conservation Corps built Fort Defiance State Park, they were truly leaving a historic mark on Iowa. Plan a trip to visit when we’re free to explore once more!

Fort Defiance was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps, and it opened to the public in 1930. Since then, it's been a woodland destination that Iowans have truly appreciated.
