Way back before Iowa’s roads were paved and tall buildings created our city skylines, our rural state was even more wild. To help settle the prairie, cowboys moved out west and helped establish their farms. These western folk are the people that helped Iowa flourish as a state, and every year, the Cherokee Rodeo gathers to celebrate our cowboy heritage.
The Cherokee Rodeo has been an Iowa tradition since 1966!
The Cherokee Rodeo offers all of the fair favorites, from burgers and hot dogs to pizza, nachos, popcorn, donuts, and funnel cakes. Be sure to come hungry!
So get ready for one of the coolest events in the midwest - the Cherokee Rodeo!
