Each train car that runs on their daily trips is an actual vintage rail car - so you're basically stepping back through time!
Throughout the year, the Boone and Scenic Valley Railroad hosts Dinner and Dessert trains, where you can enjoy gourmet meals and tasty pastries on one of their scenic routes.
You'll watch the world roll by as you enjoy your meal in one of their dining cars. This is a photo of their City of Los Angeles car. It looks like a gourmet restaurant!
New in March, the Boone and Scenic Valley Railroad is offering a BBQ Dinner Train!
There's still time to catch this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Not only will you enjoy the incredible history and scenery of a train ride through the scenic valley, but you'll be able to pig out on brisket, chicken, pulled pork, and more! Trains are running the last two Saturdays in March, so get your ticket for the 24th or 31st before they all sell out! Tickets are just $40, and they include a two hour round trip ride along with your choice of entree. Each meal is served with baked beans potato salad, a fresh cornbread muffin, and a big slice of their famous cheesecake. Can you think of a better way to spend the night?!
Everyone's favorite part of the BBQ Dinner Trail will be the amazing scenery you pass.
Not only will you see some of the prettiest natural scenes in the state, but you'll cross the 156-foot tall Bass Point Creek High Bridge, which is absolutely breathtaking! If you're afraid of heights, don't look down.
