If you and your significant other are like most couples, there’s a good chance the beginning of your date night starts off like this: Person A: “Where do you want to go eat?” Person B: “I don’t know, where do you want to eat?” Person A: “I don’t know, that’s why I asked you.” Person B: “Well I don’t know, you pick.”

Centro is an ex-Masonic Temple turned upscale yet casual eatery in downtown Des Moines. Centro serves all of your favorite Italian-inspired foods like pasta and pizza, but with a few surprising menu items such as fried brussels sprouts and portabello fries.
Cafe d'Marie is a quaint little cafe in Davenport that is housed in a beautiful, 1860s brick home. The cafe serves breakfast and lunch Monday through Saturday, and they specialize in quiche, panini-style sandwiches, sweets and various coffees, teas, smoothies and more. At Cafe d'Marie, everything is fresh, homemade, and absolutely delicious.
Located in the Historic Park Inn Hotel in downtown Mason City, this fine dining restaurant delicious dishes from around the world with a taste that's completely unique. This upscale spot is a perfect place to take that special someone for a date night to remember.
The Candlelight Inn offers diners a nice view of the water as they choose from a menu loaded with favorites, from steaks to seafood to sandwiches and more.

L.May Eatery, located on Dubuque's historic Main Street, is a restaurant that uses fresh, seasonal ingredients to make delicious, gourmet comfort food. Their menu features delectable dishes like: ginger berry salmon, stuffed poblano pepper, filet mignon, or their "You're in Dubuque" pizza.
Montage is an upscale bar and restaurant that offers diners a sleek, modern and fun environment, as well as a menu full of globally inspired dishes for some of the best eating in the state. After you've eaten, head up to the rooftop and enjoy your drinks under the night sky.
Bev's On The River, located in Sioux City, offers a unique riverside dining experience, or a great venue for events. Bev's is really popular for their Sunday Brunch, which goes on every Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The brunch offers pretty much everything under the sun, and each week their award-winning chef prepares four new mouth watering entrees.
