The month of December is arguably the most stressful month of the year. I think the only other time that even comes close to being as stressful is tax time, but let’s not talk about something so gross! Are you feeling the holiday and end of year stress yet? I know I am! The question is – what can we do about it? Fortunately, there are a lot of ways people in Indiana can relax and take it easy. In fact, here’s the ultimate relaxation guide for Hoosiers.
Curling up with a nice book is always a great way to relax. If it is cold outside, consider doing it in front of a fire or a heater. Don't forget the blanket and some hot chocolate!
2. Grab a cup of coffee at your favorite coffee shop.
Nothing like the smell and feel of a warm coffee shop with a nice cup of coffee. This picture is from Bee Coffee Roasters in Indianapolis in case you are curious.
Apparently, float therapy is a fairly new thing to surface in the Hoosier state. It involves floating in a pod of water. I've never actually had the pleasure of trying it, but I've always been interested in trying it. The picture is from the location in Indianapolis. But, there is also a float center in Greenwood. and Franklin if you are interested. It certainly looks relaxing
A warm crackling fireplace is always a great option. If you don't have one, you could watch a virtual one on YouTube or Netflix. We've turned the Netflix one on a few times. It's pretty relaxing.
What could be more relaxing than just gazing at the stars in the sky?
What do you think about these ways people in Indiana can relax? Did your favorite way to relax make the list? Can you think of some other ways I should have included? Definitely share your thoughts with me in the comments. I would love to read about more ways to relax!
