Is Warsaw Indiana a good place to live?
Nestled in beautiful Kosciusko County is Warsaw, one of the cutest small towns in Indiana that you’re sure to fall in love with immediately. Now, we might be a little biased, but we think Warsaw is one of the best places in Indiana to live; it has a strong sense of community, and the folks here are kind. It’s a wonderful place for families, and the schools are great. Plus, it’s one of those historic towns in Indiana you might miss if you drive through it and blink.
What is Warsaw Indiana known for?
Warsaw Indiana is, believe it or not, known for its title as the “Orthopedic Capital of the World” thanks to having been the home of the first-ever orthopedic device manufacturer: the DePuy Manufacturing Company. It was founded in 1895, and it didn’t take long for competitors to pop up – at least two of which set up camp in Warsaw as well. There are plenty of fun things to do in Warsaw, and it’s been named one of the 50 best small towns to visit in the United States as well. Another thing Warsaw Indiana is known for is Center Lake, which just so happens to be one of our all-time favorite lakes in Indiana.
What other small towns in Indiana are worth moving to?
There are so many small towns in Indiana that it might be impossible to settle on just one to check out (which is totally where one of our Indiana small towns road trips might come in handy), but we do have a few favorites we love to mention. We’re major fans of small towns like Beverly Shores, which is one of the most beautiful dark-sky cities in Indiana, and the town of Carmel is one of the friendliest towns in Indiana. The town of Franklin is said to have the best main street in Indiana, and places like Winona Lake are excellent options for folks who enjoy shopping and dining. There’s also Angola, Wabash, Corydon, and Nashville – all of which are definitely worth a visit.
